Life imprisonment to lay eggs for you

Battery hens

For the whole of its life a battery hen is imprisoned in living space of twelve inches by six inches - less than the size of an A4 sheet of paper. 95% of all eggs sold in New Zealand are from living creatures thus tortured. NZAVS members are asked to support the Campaign Against Battery Laid Eggs (CABLE) and Compassion in World Farming (http://www.ciwf.org.uk/).
