More initiatives to abolish vivisection

Since publication of the article "Reform Around the World" in Mobilise! 17 the following initiatives to abolish vivisection have been lodged in the state of Washington, USA:

Senate Bill No. 5007, first reading 12/1/87 before the Washington Senate reads:

"It is unlawful for a medical facility, clinic, hospital, medical school, college university, educational institution, research facility, or any other person to use an animal in any kind of research whatsoever...
...this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, the support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect immediately."

and..

The House Bill No. 417, first reading 28/1/87 before the House of Representatives of the Washington Legislative, reads:

"No City, Town, County, Special Purpose District, Humane Society, or Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals may sell any animal for use in medical research to a research institution or to any other purchaser."

Ireland... Switzerland... Italy... Germany... Tyrol... California... Washington State... for total abolition...
and now... a petition to:

Abolish vivisection in New Zealand

On the grounds that:

  1. Vivisection is directly responsible for many of today's health disasters, vaccine tragedies, birth deformities and cancers;
  2. When extrapolated to the human circumstance constitutes violent assault on human health;
  3. Is medical and scientific fraud promoted by the world vivisection industry and its subsidiaries;
  4. Is upheld and maintained by academic, political and commercial profiteers for financial benefit;
  5. No scientific basis exists for the continued waste of public money in practices proven unsound, invalid and dangerous.
Don't invite death before his time   Don't invite death before his time   Don't invite death before his time   Don't invite death before his time   Don't invite death before his time

We aim for 100,000 signatures

Treat with suspicion the leader of any "anti-vivisection" group which does not ask for total abolition of vivisection on the grounds of danger to public health.
