Making sure that the public learns the fraudulence, futitility and furtiveness of vivisection is the first step towards abolition. That is why the abolitionist movement must be informed in order to be effective. Reading Hans Ruesch's books: Slaughter of the Innocent; Naked Empress; Vivisection is Scientific Fraud; and Bullet-in Nr. 1 is essential since the aboltionist movement is founded on the information they contain. All serious NZAVS members should own, read and use these books as their source of reference.

It has been suggested that all leaders of anti-vivisection societies should be investigated. Overseas this has already commenced as non-abolitionist anti-vivisection leaders, our principal enemies, have their credentials scrutinised. for now that the worldwide move to abolish vivisection has begun it is the infiltrator, non-abolitionist leaders who are mainly responsible for the continuance of vivisection (whilst simultaneously relieving their unsuspecting members of money in good faith to save animals from experiments).
