Australia's Coat Of Arms Has Become The Nation's Bloodied Symbol

The Society has received a heart-rending appeal from Arthur Queripel, Founder and President of the Australian Wildlife Protection Council as follows:

Australian Wildlife Protection Council

"... Greetings all members of NZAVS. I am making a very urgent appeal to you for assistance in helping to stop the many depraved atrocities being inflicted upon Australian kangaroo remnants under licence from our morally bankrupt government. Over 20 species of marsupials have become extinct since white colonization began. The few remaining are under constant and widespread mechanized attack."

"With the big male bucks already reduced to a dangerously low level governments have directed the killers (mostly thugs) to concentrate on the massacre of female kangaroos carrying their joeys (babies) in the pouch. After brutally killing the mothers, their babies are decapitated or have their heads crushed in. There are also many other forms of extreme cruelty being very cowardly inflicted upon kangaroos in many parts of Australia. Nowhere else in this world could there be such massive cruelty to an animal. The outback of Australia is absolutely barbaric and inhumane."

The NZAVS has written to the Governments of all States.

Kangaroo is recognised now as the world's bloodiest harvest.

7 Million will die in 1982...
... and for every mother killed - her baby dies - plus her young at foot.

Joey skinned Alive

This "joey" was skinned alive. suffering untold agony. Australian Governments turn a "blind eye".

Australian "hunters" shoot to "cripple" not to kill. To use the "Pelvic shot" the "Hip shot" and the "Kidney shot". Eye-witnesses claim that

"... roos have tremendous vitality and die very hard... they have human-like cries and sobs and whimper like children. They are left all night wounded and in misery. This enables the hunter to have a fresh kill when they return to finish the animals off in the morning."
