The following is a message to the NZAVS members from the brave men and women of the Animal Liberation Front:

"In practical terms it is not always easy to define what is or isn't a 'medical experiment'. In moral terms we find medical and non- medical experiments on animals equally as repugnant. The suffering animal is not aware of the reason for which it is being tortured and the fact that the experiment is a 'medical' one in no way relieves the suffering..."
