To clarify the situation for any reader who may still be puzzled despite the facts brought to light in this article. It is proven and unarguable that a mere handful of people, sharing the same objective, by dictating the policies of anti-vivisection/animal rights organisations, as has been revealed in New Zealand, is systematically and internationally destroying all attempts to put abolitionist policies into practice. NZAVS wholeheartedly supports Hans Ruesch's campaign of exposing these individuals and encouraging members of groups to question the non-abolitionist policies of their leaders. Leaders like Hall, who, filling her time debating and philosophising with the vivisectors about "alternatives", accountability, ethics committees and other occupational therapy instead of bringing the truth to their members are the reason why vivisection exists whilst guaranteeing its continuance for yet another hundred years. In conclusion we give Professor Peter Singer the last word, which we ask readers to assess in the light of the policy of the doctors mentioned in this article: On 9 October 1991 at a seminar at the University of NSW, Australia, when asked by vivisectors what he thought about the use of pound dogs in experiments the University's journal Ukiken dated 25 October 1991 quotes Prof. Singer as saying:
Hans Ruesch is the undisputed leader of the new abolitionist movement and we are all, including future generations in his debt. He has been Patron of NZAVS for over a decade. For those members who would like to express short statements of support for this exceptional man we will be pleased to accept and publish these in Mobilise! 35. It is a sorry fact that messengers of the truth are hated, hounded and hindered... but through pioneers like Ruesch it is inevitable that the truth will eventually surface. Since its inception NZAVS has focussed on the truth and will continue to do so, no matter how unpleasant and unpalatable that truth might be. "Vivisection is rooted in error, and when the truth becomes known it will disappear." |
