and now a leprosy vaccine The South Pacific Leprosy Appeal Letter of March 1983 outlines an article from one Professor James D. Watson, who, with his cohort Dr A.G. Douglas Jones have "managed to establish leprosy infection in mice"... (jolly good show and bravo!) For this brave feat these two animal abusers received from the Leprosy Trust Board ten thousand dollars in 1982 and sixteen thousand dollars this year. The mice are delighted! Because the law allows "ethics committees" to abuse animals does not make it right. It is not long since slavery was legal, since children were bought and sold, since women were chattels with no rights... due to public pressure, slavery, the selling of children and the oppression of women were all outlawed. The abuse of animals is carried out behind closed doors and society still orientated to consider animals as second class subjects - or of no value in their own right. Researchers and politicians who lawfully condone animal experimentation are selfish, corrupt individuals - many of whom have financial interest in their schemes. The following extracts may assist readers to make the decision whether or not to have their children 'immunised': "We urge you to remember, you, your child or somebody in your family may be the next victim of the medical profession's abysmal blindness and disturbing commitment to their sacred cow, immunisation... what we want is a world conference on the facts..."
