The following extract from Veterinary Record November 21 1968 also poses some questions: Virus Research Department
Who were these "suppliers"? - What was the origin of the animals - Were they homeless strays? - There is no standardization as the cats were of "all ages"! - Cats get highly upset and would be distressed from the journey... they were thus "dosed" whilst in a stressful state - That the animals were "found dead" indicates that there is no around the clock observation... which would be essential if any kind of uniform assessment was the aim... should the whole question of "vivisection" be investigated in New Zealand? |

What other crimes against helpless animals are taking place in our society? Unreported - Unnoticed - Unseen - Carefully shielded from the public's eyes? Many drugs which damage an animal's fetus don't damage the human fetus "Sixteen percent of people in hospital are there directly due to the side effects of drugs" The Head of the West German Gynecological Clinic reports that for 61% of all malformed children born alive and 88% of all still born children the intake of various drugs has to be held responsible. "If a certain drug works on a million white mice - it isn't necessarily safe for humans" The experts insist that not until a drug is released on the market can side effects really be studied. Norway requires evidence of an increase in therapeutic effects before a new drug can be fully developed. |
