The vivisection monster, a prop used on several demonstrations in Christchurch, New Zealand in the mid 1990s.
A papier-mache monster over two metres high being carried by two anti-vivisectionists either side of it. The monster is
in the form of a head with two horns on top of it, the word "VIVISECTION" painted on it's forehead, dollar signs ("$") for eyes, and painted 'blood'
dripping from its mouth. The activist on the right is holding a placard with a picture of a Thalidomide victim.
The placard reads "WARNING VIVISECTION KILLS PEOPLE - AND ANIMALS".
