Marielle is now in her second year on the board and builds on an outstanding initial contribution. With Emily, she covers the role of Secretary but does far more than the role suggests bringing a unique combination of empathy and organisation to the charity.

Marielle holds a Master of Social Science and a Master of Business Administration. She also brings many years of management and marketing experience across various sectors where she held senior and international positions with both public and private companies. In recent years, she managed and consulted with many not for profit organisations.

The key strengths she brings to the Board are strategic and innovative thinking, she looks at the path to success and sees the big picture.

Marielle is passionate about animal welfare and environmental sustainability, loves walking, goes to the gym and enjoys travel and plant-based foods. She lives in Tauranga with her partner.
